[Super Sol Construction Case] Example of Lightweighting Above Underground Parking Lot

This is a case study of the renovation work on the fountain area at the west exit square of Shinjuku Station.

We would like to introduce a case study of the construction of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," made from crushed and sintered waste glass, in the context of reducing the weight above an underground parking lot. In the landscaping work at the fountain plaza of Shinjuku Station's west exit, lightweight Super Sol was used to reduce the load on the drainage base material and the underground parking lot. [Super Soil Construction Case] A2 Tsunami Evacuation Road Widening Project Case

This is a case of road improvement work on City Road No. 3225 in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

We would like to introduce a construction case study of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," made from crushed and sintered waste glass, used in the "Tsunami Evacuation Road Widening Project." In this disaster prevention project, a narrow coastal road was widened to serve as a tsunami evacuation route, and Super Sol was adopted as backfill material for the retaining wall. The lightweight Super Sol was effective in reducing soil pressure, allowing for a thinner retaining wall.
